
Seungsoo Kim
Principal Investigator
Seungsoo is an assistant professor at UC Irvine. He was an HHMI-Damon Runyon postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, working with Joanna Wysocka on transcription factor cooperativity in cranial neural crest cells. Previously, he completed PhD training in Genome Sciences with Jay Shendure at the University of Washington and an undergraduate degree at Harvard University. Outside the lab, Seungsoo enjoys nature, especially birds.

Danyi Zheng
Postdoc
Danyi completed her PhD training in Neuroscience and Behavioral Disorders at Duke-NUS Medical School, and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She previously worked on CNS development and diseases with hiPSCs, mouse models and bioinformatic analysis. Outside the lab, she enjoys dancing and music.

Isaac Garcia
Research Assistant
Isaac earned his B.A. in Biotechnology from Tecnologico de Monterrey. He has previously worked on skeletal muscle regeneration and studied the mechanism of type 2 diabetes with hiPSCs, and performed dozens of high-throughput CRISPR screens in many types of cancer models. Outside the lab, he enjoys doing sports, mainly cycling, sailing, and running.
